Theme Thursday - Busy

Hi Everyone....I thought I would show you the latest painting in the painting a day project....She was inspired by my old raggedy Anne doll that I still have in my studio....her clothing is a busy pattern and I thought she fit this week's theme on Theme Thursday...
I have kept my doll for many years now and it makes me smile to think back to my days as a wee little girl....I also still love dolls....and love barbies too....I guess we never really get old....we are all just kids at heart...and I want to stay that way!!
I also thought you would get a kick out of Cole's latest comments....whenever he sees a Barbie commercial he always stops what he is doing and says "those are for you Mommy... you like those....when I am bigger I will buy you one of those barbies"
I smile and laugh and my heart is full of his cuteness!!! I showed him my little collection one day and he always thinks of me when he sees a barbie...how cute is that....
Happy Thursday!!!
Hugs
Diana

Hi Diana.
Thank you for the birthday greeting.
I love your pictures. I had a raggedy Ann to and wore the poor doll out.
Cole and Minnie are adorable!

I'm SO glad you chose Raggedy Ann instead of one of the plastic perfect Barbies. (Can you tell I'm not a Barbie fan?) Generations of little girls have shared their secrets with Raggedy Ann. She's timeless...and so is your painting!

Love that! I had a Raggedy Ann when I was little, too! Love it! That is so sweet about your son wanting to buy you Barbies when he gets older. You totally need to take him up on that!

Just stopping by from Marie's blog to say hello. I love your Raggedy Ann painting, and your son is the sweetest. I remember those days - once my oldest (now 21) bought me some 'jewels' at a flea market with his own money. He must have been about 7? I still have them, sitting in the box they came in, next to where I work. :) Good memories! xox Pam

The long time ago, when my sister have 4-5 years,(now, she are 21 or 22), all her friends have diferentlly dolls. My sister ever dreamed about Barbie, but dad always buy for her- other dolls, in one day, he bought- one Black Doll,... sister remain in shock. :) After 5 years, dad finally bought for my sister, - Barbie,- then, she have the second shock in her life, she was very glad but At the same time, she is grown from doll's time. hihi! :)

But...maybe, dreams never not age!
Have a great day too!!! =)
